The average order value in India is $30, double that of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba – E-commerce

Online buyers in India constitute only 12 per cent of the country’s total internet user base but the e-commerce market is expected to grow to 12 times by 2020, boosted by a growing internet base, says a report from IIFL Institutional Equities titled “Click Moved My Cheese — A deep dive into Indian internet.” Despite a low number of online buyers, the Indian e-commerce market has been better than that of China at same user base, said the report authored by Sandeep Muthangi, analyst and angel investor in the technology start-up space. When internet users numbered 250 million, India’s e-commerce market totalled $14 billion compared to $13.6 billion for China, says the report. DIPP The Department of Industry Policy and Promotion has extended the validity of Industrial licence for defence sector for the second time this year, increasing it to 15 years with provision for a further extension of three years to promote defence manufacturing. However, In case a licence has already expired the licensee will have to apply for a fresh licence. Note: In April, the Department had increased the validity of the licence to 7 years, with provision for extending it up to 10 years. MCA Services on MCA Portal may not be available, tentatively, from 24th Sep 2015, 07:00 PM to 25th Sep 2015, 07:00 AM. New Forms AOC-4 (Non-XBRL), MGT-7, ADT-2 & SH-9 is being made available w.e.f 25th September 2015 along with C&I Validation tool beta version.
