New Interest Rates In Small Saving Scheme – RBI

SSCHello everyone, Trust all of you doing great in your life. As per recent notification dated 06.04.2017 issued by RBI, Interest Rates in Small Saving Schemes are revised. The revised rates are for first quarter (01.04.2017 to 30.06.2017) of financial year 2017-18. New rates are: –

  • Saving account deposit – 4% annually
  • One year time deposit – 6.9 % Quarterly
  • Two year time deposit – 7 % Quarterly
  • Three year time deposit – 7.2 % Quarterly
  • Five year time deposit – 7.7 % Quarterly
  • Five year recurring deposit – 7.2 % Quarterly
  • Five year senior citizen saving scheme – 8.4 % Quarterly
  • Five year monthly income account scheme – 7.6 % Monthly
  • Five year national saving certificate – 7.9 % Annually
  • PPF scheme – 7.9 % Annually
  • Kisan Vikas Patra – 7.6 % Annually
  • Sukanya Samridhi account scheme – 8.4 % Annually

HSN (Harmonised System of Nomenclature) is an internationally accepted product coding system formulated under General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).

Image result for HSN codeIn India, currently, adapted HSN coding is currently used under Excise and Customs for classification of products. It is necessary to determine correct applicable rate (including exemptions, if any).

Under GST, government shall continue the concept of classification based on HSN but a slightly modified version will be implemented wherein turnover of the taxpayers will play a pivotal role in determine coding. However, there will be separate codes for goods and services. Broad rule is as under:-

  • Taxpayers whose turnover is above Rs. 1.5 crores but below Rs. 5 crores shall use 2 digit code;
  • Taxpayers whose turnover is Rs. 5 crores and above shall use 4 digit code; and
  • Taxpayers whose turnover is below Rs. 1.5 crores are not required to mention HSN Code in their invoices.

Services will be required to be classified per the Services Accounting Code (SAC)

Stamp Duty On Issue of Shares – Haryana

(i) Against article 19, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be submitted namely:-

“One rupee for every one thousand or a part thereof, of the value of the shares, scrip or stock”.

(ii) Against article 27.

(a) in clause (a), for the existing entry the following entry shall be submitted , namely:–
“0.05% per year of the face value of the debenture subject to the maximum of 0.25%”.

(b) in clause (b), for the existing entry shall be substituted namely —
“0.05% per year of the face value of the debenture, subject to the maximum of 0.25%”.

(iii) against article 48—
(a) in clause (a), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:–

“Three hundred rupees”.
(b) in clause (b), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:–
“Three hundred rupees”.

(c) in clause (c), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:–
“Three hundred rupees”.

(d) in clause (d), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:–
“Five hundred rupees”.

(e) in clause (e), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:–
“One thousand rupees”, and

(f) in clause (g), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- “One hundred rupees for each person authorized”.

62 foreign NGOs set up offices in China

Sixty two foreign NGOs have registered with public security authorities and set up their representative offices in China after a new law regulating overseas NGOs took effect on January 1.

Image result for Foreign NGOAmong the 62 NGOs, which include those in fields such as the economy, education and environmental protection, 27 are from the United States, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the US-China Business Council, state-run Xinhua news agency reported today. The other 35 come from 14 regions and countries, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Britain, Germany and Switzerland.

“With simplified procedures and less time spent, the registration went smoothly under the new law,” said Jacob Parker, vice president of China Operations of the US-China Business Council, an organisation of American companies in business with China.

  8. Passport size photo and one marriage photo of couple.
  9. Pan and UID is mandatory for both witnesses.
